Final Feedback

I showed my video to 10 people within the ages of my target audience and this was some of the feedback I received. Overall I think the video is well edited and there is a range of footage in each section, there were a few problems with the video near the end but I had to work with what I had. Even though I wanted to do more, I am pleased with the outcome I have anyway.

Final Draft

This is my final draft of my A2 music video.

I think this edit is the best one I have produced, it had a range of edits and transitions, a title and ending with the names of the artists. I am going to be getting feedback on this to see if it attracts my target audience, I will then be working on my digipack.

Editing

I decided not to get any feedback for the latest draft because I know I personally don't want to change much about it, I just want to get the final draft uploaded as soon as possible so I can start working on my CD cover. I really want to add a title and the names of my artistes somewhere and make sure all the lip syncing is in time and everything works perfectly with no issues.

Forth Draft

This is the forth edit of my music video.

In this draft, as you can see, I made some shots black & white, some had a vignette effect on them and others had a purple layer on top of them. I took my feedback into consideration and tried to make the video more exciting and intense. This edit has a lot more going on and makes the scenes less repetitive. I did focus a lot on David's section (A$AP Rocky part of the song) and made sure his head wasn't cut out of the shot. Now it looks more like him and not him putting on an act and there are more shots of him lip singing instead of dancing or moving around. For his part as well there is a shot of his legs and I added an x-ray effect on them which looked really cool, so I kept it. You can also probably tell that I sorted out the music as well so it sounds like a proper sounding track. Hopefully I am near the final edit once I get my final video completed then I can start looking at my CD cover and poster.

Editing

These images show screenshots of my mac screen whilst editing my next draft. From my feedback I decided to take into consideration that some of the shots got a bit repetitive, I also decided to tweak David's section because his head is cut out of most of the shots. In this draft I pam going to put in some layers over the top of the scenes, I am going to add some black & white edits and see what else iMovie has to offer, because my feedback stated that the white background got a bit repetitive.
